CDM - CONSTRUCTIONS DESIGN MANAGMENT

Specialist health and safety consultants work closely with clients to support the development of a positive health and safety culture on construction projects, including live operational buildings, across an array of estates. We currently provide tailored construction safety consultancy advice to blue-chip clients who expect safety to be the number one safety goal for their business. Our clients expect and demand this level of enhanced safety consultancy in order for them to further demonstrate their Client’s Duties and responsibilities. We provide site specific, competent health and safety construction advice to both contractors and clients.
 

We also advise clients on competency levels of proposed /appointed persons and organisations. This will provide clients with clarity and help to both assess and demonstrate that construction project teams have the right attributes to deliver a healthy and safe project.
 

The site manager is informed of any significant hazards on the day of the inspection and is advised of the necessary implementation of control measures. We also issue a written health and safety audit, including KPI -measurements, within 24 hours of auditing a construction site

We work with contractors to ensure that they are:

  • Implementing the management procedures detailed in their Construction Phase Plan
     

  • Complying with the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation
     

  • Review of Principal Contractor and Contractor’s operational site safety procedures
     

  • Reviewing risk assessments and method statements
     

  • Ensuring current design and survey information is available onsite and being used

This should be done at initial selection of the Respiratory Protective Equipment or if facial configuration alters in any way such as:
 

  • Excessive weight gain or loss

  • Major Dentistry work

  • Changes to facial characteristics

 

Our team of Technicians can carry out Face Fit Testing throughout the UK and also deliver one of the few Fit2Fit approved training courses on Qualitative Face Fit Testing.

All members of our team have taken and passed the industry recognised exam and practical assessment for Face Fit Testing and are Fit2Fit Accredited. Our team work closely with the BSIF and HSE to promote best practice and to increase the awareness of Face Fit Testing.

Our Respiratory Specialists have over 50 years’ experience between them and are able to deliver Respiratory Training, Face Fit Testing, RPE Servicing and Maintenance and air purity testing. The team are available to deliver these services at your site.
